Following a successful public affairs career with four federal agencies, Marjorie Weisskohl established All Seasons PR in 2019. Her experience includes engaging the private sector, scientists and engineers, diplomats and foreign audiences, non-governmental organizations, academia and students, and the news media on a wide range of issues. These included promoting energy independence, environmental protection, technology innovation, democracy, trade, and human rights.

Marjorie leveraged her foreign language education in Spanish at the University of Maryland and overseas travel to hold  assignments at the U.S. Department of State in press and public affairs. She managed diverse, high visibility foreign policy communications projects serving six presidential administrations, including more than a dozen years working on Western Hemisphere issues from Canada to Argentina.

Her work at the U.S. Department of Commerce on technology policy and innovation -- from tech infrastructure to green tech --- provided the foundation for work on environmental issues at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the  Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) at the U.S. Department of the Interior, where she managed the public affairs portfolio for BOEM's environmental program and marine minerals. She was widely credited for putting these programs on the map, and was a leader in outreach to students on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

In addition to her B.A in foreign language education, Marjorie holds a graduate certificate in Public Relations from the American University, national Accreditation on Public Relations (APR) from the Universal Accreditation Board, and actively participates in the Public Relations Society of America, Washington Women in Public Relations, and a variety of science communications groups.  She hails from a Baltimore business family and enjoys going to the beach, cycling, hiking, photography, guitar, and travel.

Who We Are

All Seasons PR is a start-up, woman-owned business focused on inspiring people to enjoy and protect the outdoors. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Americans spend about 90 percent of their time indoors. This lifestyle has evolved from an agrarian economy to manufacturing and now, a service economy. Before COVID19, many people rarely ventured outside for exercise, and missed the invigorating physical, mental and emotional experience of enjoying nature. All Seasons PR's goal is to keep their outdoors motivation alive. Contact us to learn how we can inspire people to enjoy the outdoors through your organization.

Our History

The inspiration to establish All Seasons PR  stems from Margy's youth and the values she grew up with. It began with sleep-away camp in Western Maryland as a child. She never forgot the sunrise hikes, making a Bulls-Eye fried egg over the campfire, and Red Cross swimming lessons in the Fort Ritchie lake. There were campfire songs, roasting marshmallows and making s'mores.  Family trips to Atlantic City's beaches, where she collected large clam shells that washed ashore overnight, were always special, too.

In college, she hiked Old Rag Mountain in Virginia, went camping and boating in the Florida Keys, and studied in Mexico, where she gazed at the world-famous Popocat
épetl  volcano and its glacier capped peak from her hotel. Today, those glaciers are wasting away because of climate change.

Fast-forward to life after college, when the thrill of working at the Department of State's Office of Press Relations meant an indoors job, late nights, and weekends. Outdoors life was relegated mostly to weekends or vacations. Margy pursued outdoors activity whenever possible, biking to work, learning to ski, and exploring other countries. Later, her career presented opportunities to work on environmental policy issues, such as publicizing debt-for-nature swaps to support conservation, the North American Free Trade Agreement side agreement on the environment, and the Summit of the Americas environmental working groups. At the Commerce Department, she promoted awareness of electronic product recycling, then transferred to the Environmental Protection Agency to work with the grants community. Next, at Interior's Bureau of Ocean Energy Management after the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, she became the lead public affairs specialist for the Environmental Studies Program, where she worked with the bureau's 200 environmental scientists to convey how integral environmental research and analysis are to developing offshore energy and mineral resources in a responsible manner. Travel to coastal areas on all four coasts  -- Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico, the West Coast, and Alaska -- created a lasting impression of why it's important to protect the environment for all to enjoy.

Thus, All Seasons PR was born -- to enjoy and protect the outdoors.
